Larry David - On The Red Phone

Larry David, one of the creators of the sitcom Seinfeld, wrote in The Huffington Post last week about his choice for presidential candidate and it's pretty hilarious! 

There's a audio version of it and I've pasted the transcript below.  I hope you enjoy it.

'Here's an idea for an Obama ad: a montage of Clinton's Sybillish personalities that have surfaced during the campaign with a solemn voiceover at the end saying, "Does anyone want this nut answering the phone?"

How is it that she became the one who's perceived as more equipped to answer that 3 a.m. call than the unflappable Obama? He, with the ice in his veins, who doesn't panic when he's losing or get too giddy when he's winning, who's as comfortable in his own skin as she's uncomfortable in hers. There have been times in this campaign when she seemed so unhinged that I worried she'd actually kill herself if she lost. Every day, she reminds me more and more of Adele H., who also had an obsession that drove her insane.

A few weeks ago, I started to feel sorry for her. Oh Christ, let her win already...Who cares...It's not worth it. There's not that much difference between them. She can have it. Anything to avoid watching her descend into madness. So I switched. I started rooting for her. It wasn't that hard. Compromise comes easy to me. I was on board.

And then I saw the ad.

I watched, transfixed, as she took the 3 a.m. call...and I was afraid...very afraid. Suddenly, I realized the last thing this country needs is that woman anywhere near a phone. I don't care if it's 3 a.m. or 10 p.m. or any other time. I don't want her talking to Putin, I don't want her talking to Kim Jong Il, I don't want her talking to my nephew. She needs a long rest. She needs to put on a sarong and some sun block and get away from things for a while, a nice beach somewhere -- somewhere far away, where there are...no phones.'

I haven't watched much of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" but his work as a writer, and sometimes actor, on Seinfed was great. I'm glad he's chosen Obama. What he says about him being calm in tough times is so true and I believe that's exactly what we need and want in a leader.

Jimmy Kimmel's Revenge

This is one of the FUNNIEST videos EVER!  It's several minutes long... but worth watching every second of it. 

Jimmy Kimmel has a tradition at the end of his show to say... "wow, we won't have time to talk to Matt Damon" or something along those lines.  Well, Jimmy's girlfriend, Sarah Silverman, got together with Matt Damon and made a humorous video... well, Jimmy got together with Ben Affleck and created a HYSTERICALLY funny video.

IKEA Suggests You "Tidy Up"

I received the following YouTube video on my Facebook profile.  It's three IKEA ads that suggest you should "Tidy Up".

Well done and pretty darn funny.

The Front Fell Off - Spoof Interview

My son showed me this video last night and I nearly died laughing... OMG!  For a while I was thinking that it was a real interview.  I did some searches and found that it's from an Australian TV show called A Current Affair. 

The video discusses an oil spill which occured on July 21, 1991 off the coast of Western Australia when a tanker called the Kirki lost it's bow. The performers are John Clarke (Senator Bob Collins) and Bryan Dawe (interviewer). Clarke & Dawe had a weekly segment on A Current Affair, where they'd do a topical spoof interview.

It's pretty hilarious!

Star Wars on Robot Chicken

My kids and a friend showed me the Robot Chicken Star Wars shorts and I found them extremely hilarious.  But there was one that just about made me cry.  If you are a Star Wars fan or have watched some of the movies, I think you will enjoy this.

It's the emperor (Senator Palpatine) sitting at his desk with a couple of his buddies laughing about some of the evil things they have done... then he gets a call from Darth Vader.
